Promoted by Action Against Hunger and Hostelería de España, the initiative features chefs Quique Dacosta and Susi Díaz as ambassadors

El Pozo Alimentación is renewing its support for the ‘Restaurants Against Hunger’ campaign for the ninth consecutive year. The initiative, promoted by Action Against Hunger and Hostelería de España, is the biggest solidarity campaign in the Spanish hospitality sector.

The new edition kicks off with 360 establishments taking part, and will run until 15 November. Susi Díaz and Quique Dacosta are the ambassadors for the campaign, which over the course of sixteen editions has brought together over 12,400 restaurants, bars, cafés and hotels from all over Spain. This time the slogan for ‘Restaurants Against Hunger’ is “Feeding Change” and the funds raised will go to families that have difficulty in accessing the food they need to sustain a proper diet.

Over the last nine years, El Pozo Alimentación has contributed to raising awareness and expanding the scope of the initiative. In 2025, together with the other sponsors, organisations and ambassadors, El Pozo Alimentación has received recognition for its ongoing support for the solidarity campaign run by Action Against Hunger, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.

Participating establishments simply choose a dish from their menu and make it a ‘solidarity dish’ for the duration of the campaign. At the end, they each donate a small percentage of the income generated from the sale of those dishes to the organisation.

During the presentation, Digital Brand Manager at El Pozo Alimentación Jorge Muñoz said, “we’re proud to have been involved in this campaign for so many years, because it links our sector directly to an essential cause – working towards ensuring that an adequate diet is accessible to all”. He highlighted “the solidarity of restaurants and their customers in working together to achieve this goal”.
