The head office of ElPozo Alimentación, located in Alhama de Murcia, will hold the final of the tenth stage of the Cycling Tour of Spain (La Vuelta), which takes place on Tuesday 29th August and includes 200 cyclists.
The stage, called ‘Caravaca Jubilar-ElPozo Alimentación’, which contemplates a stretch of 171 kilometres, will set off from Caravaca de la Cruz and go through the municipalities of Lorca, Totana, Alhama de Murcia and Librilla. Its highest point is at kilometre 138.6, in Collado Bermejo, at an altitude of 1,190 metres.
It is the first time in the history of La Vuelta that a stage takes place in Antonio Fuertes avenue, a street named after the founder of the company and where its facilities are, with dimensions which exceed 250,000 m2, and where more than 4000 people work.
ElPozo Alimentación is also an official sponsor of the Cycling Tour of Spain. This year’s edition will start on 19th August in Nimes and will finish on 10th September in Madrid. A total of 21 stages of maximum competition which will entertain thousands of cycling fans in Spain and 190 countries all over the world.
It is an important sporting event for a company, which since it was founded in 1954, has been committed to sport and the values of sacrifice, effort and overcoming difficulties which it represents. It supports the Spanish Paralympic Team and for more than 25 years has been the sponsor of the indoor football club ElPozo Murcia, recent champion of the Kings Cup and the Supercup and which is represented in all the basic categories.
