ElPozo Alimentación is to invest almost a million euros in the construction of a new public carpark next to the company with 328 spaces which can also be used by townsfolk. ElPozo Alimentación and the Town Council of Alhama de Murcia have today reached an agreement to build the said public carpark, which means an investment of 941.645 euros by the company. The president and the managing director of Grupo Fuertes, Tomás Fuertes and José Fuertes, respectively, as well as the mayor of the town, Diego Conesa, were in charge of ratifying the agreement today in the company’s head office.

In the interest of solving a road safety problem in the municipality, ElPozo Alimentación has collaborated with the Town Council of Alhama de Murcia to find a solution which has been a new public carpark for the town, which will also be used by company workers.

The building work on the new carpark will begin in May and will take eight months. The carpark will have 24-hour video.

The State Highways Department has authorised, indefinitely, the transfer of use of the land to the Town Council, who, in turn, will provide it to the company. ElPozo Alimentación will also take on the yearly fee to the State Highways Department.

Furthermore, ElPozo Alimentación is to take on all the maintenance tasks of the new carpark relating to cleaning, repairing asphalt, signalling or painting new road markings.
