ELPOZO Alimentación has today presented the details of the tenth stage of the Cycling Tour of Spain (La Vuelta), Caravaca Jubilar – ELPOZO Alimentación, which takes place entirely in the Region of Murcia and is on Tuesday 29th August.

The assistant managing director of ELPOZO Alimentación, Rafael Fuertes, said that the company has decided to strongly commit to this sponsorship, as the values of effort, work, overcoming difficulties, constancy and team work which characterise cycling fully coincide with the food company’s philosophy.

ELPOZO Alimentación has become one of the main collaborators of the sporting event on an international scale which is broadcast in 190 countries and which, last year, had a cumulative audience of more than 360 million people. As well as the tenth stage, the company sponsors the 18 liaison motorbikes throughout La Vuelta, as well as the women’s race ‘Madrid Challenge’, the women’s test which takes place before the last stage, in the Madrid circuit.

The brand will appear present on billboards, panels and kilometre markers and will have a vehicle in caravan. A selection of its products will accompany the race to be tried at the start as well as the finish by attendees of the event. The processed products of ELPOZO Alimentación are especially beneficial for physical exercise due to their high protein content, which favours the increase and conservation of muscle mass.

The director of La Vuelta, Javier Guillén, explained that the day includes, besides the actual competition, La Vuelta junior, in which one hundred young people from Alhama de Murcia will run the last kilometre of the stage, in order to promote interest in this sport. The sporting event also offers the Parque Vuelta, a free party aimed at the population of Alhama which will take place at the end of the stage.

The regional minister of Education, Youth and Sport, Adela Martínez-Cachá, as well as the manging director of the Tourism Institute of the Region of Murcia, Manuel Fernández-Delgado, thanked ELPOZO Alimentación for the effort it is making to add value to the Murcia brand, thanks to its support of large sporting events with worldwide impact.
