The South-East Asian country has high growth potential for the Spanish meat market

The ambassador of Vietnam in Spain, Ngo Tien Nzung, visited El Pozo Alimentación’s facilities today with the objective of strengthening commercial ties between the South-East Asian country and the company which produces protein food products.

Vietnam currently has high growth potential for the Spanish meat market, especially the pork sector. Although its own pork production is very high, the country has not reached productive self-sufficiency, mainly because of its population growth, which also consumes more and more of these products. It is therefore expected that Vietnam will import these food products to meet the growing demand.

Vietnam is a highly populated country with 90 million potential consumers, an emerging middle class, high purchasing power growth and a strong tendency for urbanisation of the population. Its young population also stands out, with 42% of Vietnamese people under 25 years old. This segment of the population is characterised by greater affinity with and preference for Western products and tastes.

El Pozo Alimentación is present in more than 80 countries all over the world, and its objective is to continue increasing its export fraction with food products adapted to the demands of each market.
