El Pozo Alimentación renews its commitment to the leading solidarity initiative against hunger, promoted by Acción contra el Hambre together with Hostelería de España. El Pozo Alimentación has been collaborating with this project for seven consecutive years, which in the last edition was opened to the participation of all types of hospitality businesses in Spain under the name of ‘Hospitality against Hunger’.
The leading food company is committed to supporting, promoting and disseminating this initiative. It encourages you to contribute to the success of this solidarity campaign. El Pozo Alimentación wants to support the hospitality sector, which through this action demonstrates its most supportive side by collaborating in this social cause in the fight against hunger.
More than 9,000 establishments have joined this project since its inception to raise funds for programmes to fight malnutrition. The chefs Quique Dacosta and Susi Díaz are the ambassadors of this campaign, in which both restaurateurs and the general public can participate until November 15th by making donations or eating solidarity dishes from the participating establishments.
In this edition, Action Against Hunger will use the funds raised to finance the projects it develops in Spain with programmes that generate opportunities for social and labour inclusion and entrepreneurship, and that contribute to guaranteeing food security for those who need it most.
The Director of Institutional Relations of Grupo Fuertes, Mar Fuertes, said during the presentation of the campaign that “this initiative is closely linked to the commitment we have as a company to guarantee food, and it is satisfying to see the scope and reach of this project to raise awareness and give visibility to this global problem”.
